Launched on 12 November 2019, the Packed with Potential website serves as a hub for individuals seeking to learn, explore resources, share or publish research, and connect with others. Its broader mission is to promote deeper understanding of Anne Lister and her contemporaries by providing historical context through open, collaborative, and accessible research.
Anne Lister Research Summit
First held in 2020, this international online conference aims to bring together people interested in researching Anne Lister to share knowledge and develop collaborations.

LGBT Fans Deserve Better was a 501(c)(3) nonprofit all-volunteer organization advocating for positive LGBTQ+ representation in the media.Founded in the spring of 2016, the group's mission was to be a resource that enables the public to learn more about the issues facing the LGBTQ+ community in regards to media representation so they can become more critical viewers and creators, resulting in more creative, impactful, and positive stories in the future.
Platte Valley Roller Vixens
Founded in 2011 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization PVRV's mission was to advance the sport of roller derby and empower adult women through opportunities to participate in competitive amateur athletics with local, national and inter-league competition. Members were committed to being positive role models, demonstrating athleticism, practicing good sportsmanship, and building strong community ties through volunteerism and service.

Since 2018, I’ve supported this nonprofit’s mission to honor veterans, first responders, and service members through outdoor experiences. From building their first website and producing fundraising calendars to filming event highlights and securing media coverage, my work has helped share stories of service and strengthen community recognition. In 2025, this included not only regional press but also by Nebraska’s congressional representative, who issued a personalized video message commending their work on his social media channels.

Anne Lister Diary Transcription Project
Starting in July 2019, this project enlisted 185 volunteers to complete digital transcriptions of Lister's journals, to later be made freely accessible in the WYAS online catalogue.
This project received recognition from the Archives and Records Association (ARA) for outstanding work involving volunteers in an archive and records service, and has attracted local and international acclaim.
Anne Lister Birthday Week

When the inaugural Anne Lister Birthday Week, originally scheduled for April 1–5, 2020, in Halifax, UK, was canceled due to COVID-19, I helped plan a virtual event to take its place, adapting nearly each of the scheduled events to a livestream format.
Throughout the following year, I continued coordinating similar livestream interviews, featuring the cast and crew of Gentleman Jack as well as historians and researchers whose work focuses on Anne Lister, her contemporaries, and connected locations. These efforts helped sustain interest until the in-person event was finally held in April 2022.

Dedicated to bringing to light details of Ann Walker’s life, one of the collaborative projects ISAW has created is Ann Walker in the Diaries which aims to find and log all the references to Anne Lister's wife Ann Walker (and her extended family, residences, etc) from Lister's journals. While working on my own journal transcriptions, I contributed relevant entries to the project, and after Ann Walker's own journal was discovered, transcribed coordinating dates to entries from Lister's journal for a comparison project between the two.
